About the Author
Dr. George E. Carter retired with over forty-five years of professional experience as a researcher, writer, administrator, and teacher. He was a Senior Fulbright Program specialist in American Literature in Beirut, Lebanon and was a Fulbright Scholar at Kyrgyz National University-Bishkek and at Arabaev Pedagogical State University-Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia. Dr. Carter received his Ph.D. in American History/English from the University of Oregon in Eugene.
