About the Author
Dr. William Mackay received his Ph.D in Population Biology from the University of California in Riverside, and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. Dr. Mackay is a Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Texas at El Paso. Emma E. Mackay has been assisting Dr. William Mackay in their work on the ecology and systematics of ants for over 40 years.
