About the Author
Dr. Mellen is Assistant Professor of Broadcast Journalism in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications at New Mexico State University. He completed his doctoral work in History at George Mason University, focusing on colonial Virinia print culture. His M.A. is in Mass Communication from the University of Denver, his B.A. is in Broadcast Journalism from Hampshire College.
