About the Author
Robert D. Morritt was born in Carlisle, Cumbria, England, and as a child grew up in Penarth, South Wales. He studied Prehistory and Early Agriculture at the University of Manchester, and also studied Communications at the University of Toronto. He is a musicologist and specialist on Rural and Appalachian Musicians, and of Country Blues. He has travelled extensively due to his hobbies throughout the Southern States and Appalachia, and many years ago made and recorded several journeys to the American Southwest.
