Book Description

Generative AI is fundamentally transforming the ecosystem, volume, quality, and tactics of online fraud. By lowering technical barriers and enabling automated deception at scale, it has already transformed the fraud landscape, making campaigns more effectively industrialized yet at the same time more personalized. The Fraud Fighter’s AI Playbook offers the first comprehensive examination of this shift—analyzing how fraudsters weaponize GenAI and providing a structured framework for countering these threats.

Grounded in decades of experience across digital advertising, ecommerce, fintech, digital banking, cryptocurrency, and risk analytics, the authors bridge academic insight with operational expertise. They aim to trace the democratization of fraud through GenAI and empower practitioners with a firm grasp on the changes taking place, including updated detection and prevention methodologies and accessible protection strategies. Whether you’re leading fraud operations or aiming to strengthen your own defenses, this playbook will help you stay one step ahead.

  • Understand the changing tactics and techniques used by GenAI-powered fraudsters
  • Implement AI detection models, prompt best practices, and implementation templates
  • Integrate cross-vertical fraud intelligence to identify and prevent emerging threats
  • Design tools that use AI to detect fraud and scams and help safeguard digital lives at work and at home
