Editorial Reviews

Review

To celebrate ‘Knits’ tenth anniversary, 25 seminal projects (plus 11 ‘Beyond the basics’ technical columns) were culled to represent the essence of the magazine. The chosen pieces, never flashy, are note-worthy in their wearability and knitterly attributes. Highlights include Kate Gilberts Union Square pullover, with its angled colour-tipped sleeves, Veronik Avery’s Threepenny pullover, a curvaceous cashmere-blend aran, and Lana Hames’s slinky Stripes Go Round, knit circularly with fauz side seams. Norah Gaughan, Leigh Radford, Joan McGowan-Michael and others are all accounted for so beautifully, it feels like knit-picking to wonder why there’s no mention of the issues in which their lovely garments first appeared. –Yarn Market News, Oct 07
