Dr. Laurence Lavelle attended Princeton University (Ph.D. Molecular Biophyics; M.A. Molecular Biophyics) and the University of Cape Town (M.Sc. Physical Chemistry (Distinction); B.Sc. Chemistry (Honours); B.Sc. Chemistry). He has published widely, coauthored many educational books and materials, and received several research and teaching awards including UCLA's highest teaching award – The University Distinguished Teaching Award.
