“The absence of the future is not for the faint of heart. So much stands for the nameless self-narrator who lives with his uncle in a settlement surrounded by mountains and gorges after the death of the mother. And the future is rare, because due to the seclusion of the settlement, its inhabitants are increasingly capsulated. This creates a microcosm with its own customs and customs, such as the “burning days” or various “forest thirds”. The boundaries between surreality and reality are blurring – people disappear, through the forests pull soldiers, dog packs and sometimes even ghosts who point to long-waged wars, echoes everywhere whose real meaning remains hidden. It is only good that there is the Uncle, an almost inexhaustible source of wayward and abysmal wisdom. And when the settlement is placed in rubble and ashes by a large fire, it takes command and causes a move of the inhabitants to one of the nearby mines.
