I have worked as a childminder for over a decade and during this time I have witnessed first hand the dramatic rise in demand for good quality childcare. Today more and more mothers are returning to work after having children and are choosing childminders as their ideal childcare option.

Childminding is often very exhausting and can at times be a lonely and stressful profession however, the rewards are good and the satisfaction of working with young children is immense.

I would recommend childminding to anyone who enjoys being with children and who has the commitment and space needed to set up a business.

During my time as a childminder I have had the opportunity of mentoring and supporting newly qualified childminders and it is whilst working in this role that I have realised there is a gap on the market for a book offering help and advice to childminders.
