Star blocks have always fascinated me, but because they look so complex I have avoided them. According to this book, you don’t need any complicated calculations to achieve beautiful, complex-looking designs. There are 35 blocks to choose from and 5 projects using the pre-drawn grid which is supplied with the book. I found the grid system very complicated, but then for those of you who enjoy a mathematical conundrum and are very interested in the piecing side of quilting, this is a very comprehensive book. –Fabrications Quilting For You; April/May 2013
