Book Description
In the wake of rapid economic growth, both industrialized and developing countries have seen a significant rise in productivity, but this progress also comes at a cost — dramatic increases in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and other pollutants. Green Innovation and Industrial Organization dives into the urgent global challenge of climate change, focusing on the need for effective environmental economic policies to address the widespread issue of pollution. This collection explores the nuanced relationship between green innovation and environmental economics, providing insights into how various policy instruments, from emissions standards to tradable permits, can impact the development and spread of green technologies. Highlighting the importance of integrating innovation and environmental policy, the book presents vital perspectives on fostering ‘green’ innovation in industries and setting the framework for a more sustainable future. Whether you’re a policy maker, business leader, or a reader interested in environmental economics, this book offers a comprehensive and engaging exploration of the intersection between environmental responsibility and economic progress.
