James E. Bobick is former head of the Science and Technology department at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, and a past visiting lecturer in the School of Information Science at the University of Pittsburgh.

G. Lynn Berard is principal librarian in the science libraries at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, and an adjunct faculty member for the Department of Library Science at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Clarion, PA.
