Emerging from an unconventional childhood as a water gypsy along the canals of South West London Ronnie played washboard in his brother Ted’s Original London Skiffle Group, before forming ultra-mod bands ‘The Birds’. He was a member of arguably the most important groups of Sixties England, including The Creation, The Jeff Beck Group and The Faces, and that’s all before joining The Rolling Stones.
