About the Author
John J. Betancur, PhD, is Associate Professor in the College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is the coeditor of The Collaborative City: Opportunities and Struggles for Blacks and Latinos in U.S. Cities. Cedric Herring, PhD University of Michigan, is Professor of Sociology and Public Policy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has published seven books. His forthcoming book is entitled Critical Diversity: The New Case for Inclusion and Equal Opportunity.
