Book Description
Take your React skills to production level with this practical guide to building scalable Next.js applications. Whether you’ve built side projects or worked in real-world codebases, you’ll learn how to architect and ship enterprise-grade web apps.
Start with Next.js fundamentals, including the move from Pages to the App Router. Learn rendering strategies such as SSR, SSG, ISR, and PPR, work with React Server Components, and organize codebases for scale. Build data layers with REST, GraphQL, and tRPC, and manage server state with TanStack Query.
Cover production concerns with testing using Vitest and Playwright, observability with Sentry, performance optimization through Core Web Vitals, plus SEO and LLM visibility. Use Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui for modern UI workflows, integrate AI-assisted development, and apply Model Context Protocol (MCP) to improve developer experience. Strengthen reliability with error handling, caching, and authentication patterns.
Put everything into practice through three projects: a booking system with auth and Stripe, a multilingual financial dashboard, and an API documentation platform. Finish with deployment patterns across Vercel, Docker, and CDNs, including environment management and CI/CD workflows.
