The book will be presented in seven sections corresponding to the major treatment areas of radiation oncology. Each section will include 3 or 4 clinical challenges in that area along with an illustrative case. Case discussions will include an expert opinion on optimal management along with further brief comments on management alternatives and from the community practitioner’s perspective. See the attached editor’s proposal for detailed discussions of the editorial structure, coverage and chapter organization, and case scenario format. “Radiation Oncology Case Book” will feature: evidence-based approach to difficult management challenges in radiation oncology; expert authors who provide evidence assessment and management summaries through presentation of relevant cases; community practitioner reviewers and comments ensure real-world relevance of each discussion; and management alternatives presented allow discussion of full range of management options for difficult problems.
