Book Description

You feel like you’re winging it as a leader.
You were promoted without a playbook – and now you’re expected to figure it out.

You were great at your job.
Now you’re responsible for getting results through other people – and no one showed you how.

So you:

  • Second-guess your decisions
  • Struggle to hold people accountable
  • Stay buried in the work instead of leading

You’re not alone.

Most leaders – at every level – are never given a practical playbook.

That’s what this book provides.

Practical Leadership is an Axiom Business Book Award Gold Medalist.

It’s written by a turnaround expert who has led and rescued high-stakes initiatives – from startups to Fortune 50 companies – and turned decades of “in-the-trenches” experience into a practical system you can use immediately.

Inside, you’ll learn how to:

  • Step out of the work and lead at the right level
  • Set clear priorities and expectations so your team delivers without constant follow-up
  • Communicate in a way that reduces confusion and rework
  • Handle difficult conversations with confidence – and hold people accountable without damaging relationships
  • Build a team that takes ownership and gets results

This isn’t theory. It’s practical leadership you can use immediately.

If you’re ready to stop guessing and start leading with clarity and confidence – this is your playbook.

Editorial Reviews

Review

“Janet Ply is the real deal. I’ve seen way too many talented people flail in leadership because nobody ever taught them how to do the job well. This book fixes that. Janet has been in the fire, she’s led through chaos, and now she’s giving you the tools she’s used to rescue high-stakes, high-dollar messes. If you lead people-or you want to-Practical Leadership should live on your desk. Get it, use it, lead better.”
