Imagine for a moment, if you will, the world’s greatest rock stars. But they’re in court, being quizzed about the lyrics of their hit songs. That’s Pop Leveson. The twitter hashtag game that went round the world three times – engaging 10,000 players and creating 25,000 jokes.

The fun began on the sidelines of the Leveson legal inquiry in London, as lawyers pitched lawyerly questions. (Hence the name if you’re wondering.) Soon the creative imaginations of twitter’s comedy elite were joining the game. The jokes came fleeing from all directions. A-list media people were playing too. Top radio presenters; news anchors; writers; politicians; columnists; stand-up comedians. All competing in the friendliest of conceivable competitions: a world comedy jokefest.
