Sure-Fire Song Success was designed and has been tweaked over many years. Originally designed for those learning piano by traditional methods, the advent of Play Piano with Chords by J C Lark sparked a need to modify the formula, to provide the same benefits to those wishing to learn piano by chords only.
It became obvious, that although students were able to learn the chords of a song they were unable to make them sound as they wanted them to sound. This was a problem student’s faced when playing by reading music, even though the music had a lot of information on the music page. Playing remained mechanical.
The formula developed overcame these obstacles allowing feeling for the song being played to be felt, as well as listened to. Modifying the formula for playing with chords required some working out as the benefit of sheet music were not available. The result has created a means of learning songs that is extremely successful.
Although not necessary to follow the formula in the book, an optional resource pack is available by download for purchasers of this book to help with preparation of each song free of any charges of course.
There is more to learning a song than just knowing the chords. This tried and tested formula ensures that playing of any song will be easy, automatic and will sound exactly how the pianist intends it to sound.
To use this book effectively the pianist needs to have completed Play Piano with Chords the way guitarists learn guitar or be comfortable playing most of the major, minor and 7th chords of A to G.
