Joyce Maschinski is the conservation ecologist leading the South Florida conservation program at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. Kristin E. Haskins is the research scientist at The Arboretum at Flagstaff and a research assistant professor at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.
