1953年、当時アメリカ、ハーバード大学の大学院生であったSolomon W.Golomb氏が “Polyominoes”
として考え出したものの中に、この「ペントミノ」や「テトロミノ」がありました。
私が1960年頃から創り始めた数千個の枠の中からペントミノ２０個、テトロミノ１７個を選びました。
ペントミノの「13ホールズ枠」以外は、すべて私が創った枠です。
ペントミノとテトロミノの世界を知っていただき、ご家族やお友達と
あるいはお一人で(笑)楽しんでいただきたいと思います。
その楽しさを体験したら、今度は自分で枠（ペントミノやテトロミノで作られる形）を作ってください。
５歳のお子さんは達成感という喜びを味わえますし、
１００歳の高齢者は健康で惚けない生活をおくれるでしょう。

In 1953 Mr.Solomon W. Golomb was Graduate student of Harvard University in USA.
At that time, he has created a new puzzle named Pentomino, Tetromino
that is one of Polyominoes each.
In this book, there are 20 frames(forms) of Pentomino and
17 frames(forms) of Tetromino that I have created all since 1960
except “13 holes of pentomino”.
I want you to know the world of Pentomino and Tetromino,
and please enjoy this puzzles with your family & friends or alone. 🙂
