If you wish to pepper a presentation or if you enjoy writing . . . then you will find much in this volume to quote. I haven’t counted them in detail, but I estimate there are in excess of 1500 quotations arranged in two ways: by author and by subject. This makes it very easy to locate a particular quotation, and as the title indicates they are all concerned in one way or another with various aspects of medicine . . .
