About the Author

Born in Anambra State, Nigeria, Chimalum Nwankwo was educated in Nigeria and the United States of America. He holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Texas. Austin, and a currently a Profesor of English at North Carlina A&T State University. Greensboro, His other publications inclide the following poetry collections: Feet of the limping Dancers (1997). Toward the Aerial Zone (1988). Voices from published a critical study: Toward the kingdom of Woman and Man. The Works of Ngugi wa Thiongo (1992). and the Trumpet Parable a play. 1988. In 1988 and 2002 Professor Nwankwo won the Association of Nigerian Authors Poetry Prize and in the year 2001. he was awarded the senior Fulbright Fellowship for scholarly resarch and teaching in Nigeria.
