About the Author
Pauline Cullen I have produced an IELTS vocabulary teaching app for candidates stuck at IELTS Band 6 or 6.5 aiming for Band 7. I have a Facebook page called IELTS Weekly, where you can contact me and find tips and practice materials for the IELTS test, and I also have a Flipboard magazine called IELTS Weekly with over 400 articles all linked to IELTS and all freely available. I also publish videos on youtube and on my Facebook page. “At school, I studied 4 languages and also studied languages at University before becoming a language teacher. I moved over to test writing in 1995 and have now written 5 IELTS preparation books with CUP. But at heart I’m still a language teacher and language student, and I hope this shows in my books and apps. I am producing a higher level version of the app aimed at IELTS Band 8 and also working on ebooks and a further IELTS apps. Vanessa Jakeman Vanessa has been an EFL Teacher for 7 years. She lived in Hong Kong for 10 years teaching EFL, working for the Hong Kong Examinations Authority as a Subject Officer. She has also worked for UCLES, (4 years on IELTS and as Group Manager for the ‘special exams’). She has worked freelance for Cambridge ESOL since 1994 (IELTS, main suite and business exams) and now works predominantly on IELTS and is the co-author of IELTS 1 and 2 practice tests (CUP).
