Book Description
Containing selected presentations from both academic institutions and industry held at the 17th European Symposium on Polymer Spectroscopy (ESOPS17), this volume covers the latest developments in the spectroscopic characterization of polymeric materials. As such, the papers cover such methods as infrared and Raman spectroscopy and imaging, NMR and ESR spectroscopy, dielectric spectroscopy, also in combination with light and electron microscopy and near-field imaging.
Editorial Reviews
From the Inside Flap
This volume contains selected presenations from the 17th European Symposium on Polymer Spectroscopy (ESOPS17), presented either as invited, short oral or poster contributions. The meeting was organized by the Austrian Centre for Electron Microscopy and Nanoanalysis of the Graz University of Technology and the Graz Centre for Electron Microsocpy. The biennial series of ESOPS meetings brings together scientists specialized in various spectroscopic methods, from both academic institutions and industry. The latest developments in the spectroscopic characterization of polymeric materials were discussed. Methods, like infrared and Raman spectroscopy and imaging, NMR and ESR spectroscopy, dielectric spectroscopy, also in combination with light and electron microscopy and near-field imaging, were presented.

About the Author
Peter Wilhelm studied chemistry at Karl-Franzens University Graz and worked on his doctoral thesis at the Institute for Physical Chemistry with Prof. Dr. Ingrid Pilz (working on small angle X-ray scattering of biological macromolecules). Since 1986 he is head of the working group on IR and Raman microscopy at the Institute for Electron Microscopy of the Graz University of Technology.
