Grant has given talks and presentations at many national conferences, including the American Anthropological Association, the American Education Research Association, the Pacific Sociological Association, the American Psychological Society, the Society for Research on Child Development, and the Society for Research on Adolescence. He has served as a reviewer for Cambridge University Press, Creativity Research Journal, Journal of Research on Adolescence, Corwin Press, Journal of Marriage and the Family, National Council on Family Relations, Massage Therapy Journal and other journals and organizations. He has served on the boards of several social service organizations including the National Hallof Fame for People with Disabilities and Mentorship Columbus. He serves on the editorial board of the American Anthropological Association’s Anthropologyof Consciousness, and is guest editing of special issue of this journal on the “body and consciousness.” He has written for numerous publications including Psychology Today, Massage, Massage Therapy Journal, Keyboard, Anthropologyand Education Quarterly, Anthropology of Consciousness, Family Relations, Creativity Research Journal, Skeptical Inquirer, Antioch Review, and Anthropology and Medicine. He has served on the AMTA Foundation research proposal review committee.
