Everyone with money to invest should be investing in emerging markets since emerging market countries are growing at five times faster than developed markets. Emerging markets also have more foreign reserves than developed markets as well as lower debt than developed markets. Just as important as these factors is the importance of diversity. Emerging markets behave differently than developed markets and thus should be used to diversify portfolios. Finally, emerging equity markets now represent more than 30% of the world’s stock market capitalization–the asset class is too important to ignore.

What is the one piece of advice you’ll give readers about investing in emerging markets?
It would have to be to invest systematically and be patient in your investment process. Set aside a certain amount of money you want to invest.
