About the Author
Born in Sri Lanka, Kumar Pereira studied typographic design at the London College of Printing. After working in London, he lived in Hong Kong for 18 years, working with studios and agencies and teaching graphic design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic. He left Hong Kong for Australia in 1988 and has worked as an art director, graphic designer, and head teacher of graphic design at the Sydney Institute. Kumar has always had a passion for food and has featured on ABC radio and had numerous recipes published. In 2011, he was a contestant in MasterChef Australia.
