Book Description

With additional chapters and updates, and now with an index, this opinionated and entertaining (yet informative) new edition anecdotally outlines Japanese nonverbal cues in approachable language. Taking the language student into the real world of persuasive communication, it teaches the ins and outs of polite/rude speech, bowing, how to disagree, intonation, apologies, slang, preconceptions of foreigners, and much more.
