The book is aimed principally at property professionals working in the fields of asset valuation, investment appraisal and advice, portfolio management and landlord and tenant work. Tim Havard is currently principal lecturer in the department of Real Estate Management at Oxford Brookes University. He has held academic positions at UMIST in Manchester and at UTS in Sydney. He is an active researcher in the fields of valuation, investment and development and is the author of a number of articles in these fields as well as a recent book on property development and an RICS FIBRE research report on valuation practice. His professional career included spells in private practice, in the construction industry and as an investment surveyor for a major life assurance company.
About the Author
Tim Havard has a varied background in construction and property. He has given papers on valuation and property investment at a number of international property conferences and has had articles published in leading academic journals. He has recently completed his PhD that investigated links between valuer behaviour and valuation variance.
