About the Author
Graham Hacche worked at the International Monetary Fund for over twenty-five years, latterly as Deputy Director of the External Relations Department. Prior to this he worked as an economist at the Bank of England and also as a consultant for the OECD. His publications include scholarly articles on British monetary economics, sterling’s exchange rate, and the IMF, and a book on The Theory of Economic Growth.
Christopher Taylor is a former Teaching Fellow at Judge Business School, Cambridge, UK, and previously held positions as Senior Research Fellow at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, and Visiting Fellow at the National Institute of Economic and
Social Research, UK. He spent twenty years in the Economics Division at the Bank of England, and latterly as Chief Adviser in the European Division. He has published widely on EMU, monetary policy and macroeconomics.
