About the Author
DR. RAVI S. SINGH, Associate Professor in Geography at Banaras Hindu University (Varanasi, India), has made over fifty academic contributions to reputed international and national journals and research series. His recent publications are Paths of Development in Arunachal Pradesh (2005), Indian Geography: Perspectives, Concerns and Issues (ed. 2009), Indian Geography in the 21st Century: The Young Geographers’ Agenda (ed. 2009) and Environment-Development Interface (ed. 2010). His fields of interest are Geographical Thought, Social and Cultural Geography, and Development Geography.
