I am a seventy-five-year-old great grandmother born in Shedon, Iowa who is a polio survivor, and just began my 60th year of teaching swimming. I have taught students from weeks old to 90 plus years old. And I have taught over 45,000 students including some of the rich and famous. I love what I do, and my swimming lessons have saved and touched many lives. I have been on several TV shows including “”Discovery Channel Those Amazing Babies.”” (I have included photos and underwater shots of my “amazing babies” swimming in this book.) My profession did not come easy to me, and my book explains the hurdles I had to clear to get where I am today. When writing this book, I found myself laughing at times and tearing up at others.
