About the Author

George Gruhn is recognized worldwide as a leading authority on vintage fretted instruments. He established Gruhn Guitars in Nashville in 1970. It has since become one of the largest dealers of vintage and fretted instruments. Walter Carter has been involved in the Nashville music scene since 1971 as a journalist, songwriter, and musician. He is the former historian for the Nashville-based Gibson Guitar Corp. and the author of several books on vintage guitars and guitar companies.
