Book Description
Material reliability is a critical factor in flight safety. For this reason, engineers and materials scientists continuously work to enhance the strength of materials to cope with the harsh conditions and potential material failures encountered during flight. This book combines theoretical knowledge and case studies to examine the fundamental and most frequent failure modes in aircraft alloys and the root causes of failures. Key topics covered include wear deformation, fracture characteristics, fatigue failure, stress corrosion cracking and creep failure. Insightful case studies explore a range of practical applications.
Failure in Aircraft Materials 2025th Edition appeals to a broad readership in the aviation and aerospace industry, including students, engineers, scientists, and researchers. It serves as an indispensable reference source for material science and modern production techniques.
