"In general, I found that Culicover's book provided a valuable window into the thinking of a linguist who is hard-nosed enough to steer an intellectual course of his own rather than just accepting the current theoretical consensus, but who nevertheless sees the generative approach as a suitable overall framework for exploring grammar. The book is worth reading." --LinguistList
