This music has been written with a meaning. This is the story:
My young daughter, Rocío is trying hard to play Beethoven’s Fur Elise, and this feeling popped up in my head.
I have a doubt, and that’s why I wrote this music. The doubt sounds plain, but weird. It plays with a note and its own flat. The flat makes you doubt if this is a genuine, complete, all round and plain note or if there is something hidden in it that suggests minor tones in your life. These are the two first notes of this music. Eb and E.
As soon as you play this doubt feeling, and repeat it, a need to play more secure tones arise, and the music suggests an explanation which cannot escape from the doubt and follows a very determined but minor scale. The scale runs definitely down, ending in a solid A. This A is tragic. It resembles fear and death. Nothing is worse than coming down to this note in a minor scale, and the doubt at the beginning is anticipating this tragedy.
