About the Author
Walter Woon returned to academia after serving a two-year term (2008 10) as Singapore s Attorney-General. He is now a professor of law at the National University of Singapore s Faculty of Law. He is also the Dean of the Singapore Institute of Legal Education. He was educated at the National University of Singapore and St John s College (Cambridge). He was Legal Adviser to the president of Singapore and Council of Presidential Advisors from 1995 1997. He was also a Nominated Member of Parliament from 1992 96. He was also Ambassador to Germany (1998 2003) and Belgium.
