About the Author

Barry Elliott has twenty years experience in the telecommunications business. He started his career with the UK Civil Aviation Authority and then moved to Ferranti Computer Systems. He has an MBA from Henley Management College, is a corporate member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers and is a Chartered Electrical Engineer. In 1999 he became one of the first BICSI Registered Cabling Distribution Designers in Europe. Barry now specialises in optical fibre and structured cabling with Brand-Rex Ltd.
