The Deliberate Musician

He was one of the early guitar instructors at the prestigious Musicians Institute in Hollywood, Calif., where he counseled and taught thousands of students the art and science of becoming better musicians.

He and his wife Linda founded an International music school in Vienna, Austria. There they taught music in every style to, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, sax, and vocalists.

He is the author of six books, including Jazz Improvisation for Guitar, Jazz Solo for Guitar, Bebop Lines, Bebop Lines for Piano, BeBop Lines for B-Flat Instruments, and Bebop Lines for E-Flat Instruments, all from Hal Leonard Publishing. In addition Les co-authored The Ten Book; featuring Joe Pass, Larry Carlton, Robben Ford and Eddie Van Halen.

Linda Wise is a music industry professional and was co-founder of the American Institute of Music in Vienna, Austria.

She has diverse experience working with musicians which includes every aspect of the business, including artist management, promotion and bookings, creation and supervision of instructional clinics and seminars, and providing student and career counseling.

Linda has intimate knowledge of what musicians need and want out of life, and she knows how to teach them the techniques required in achieving their goals. She has a Masters degree in business administration, and she was an administrator in the California State University system for more than eleven years. Within her years at the California State University she counseled thousands of students on many academic and life issues.

Together, they share a passion and commitment to helping musicians transform their lives.
