Dangerous Magic

A sparkling tale of Regency England, manners, and magical happenings.

A young lady in possession of magic is required to marry well, particularly when her services are needed to defeat Napoleon. Yet when a carriage arrives at Elizabeth Bennet’s quiet country home, she is shocked to discover that within a few days, she is expected to marry a stranger. The fact that her future husband is a powerful magician does not make the marriage any more palatable. She is determined to find a way to prevent this marriage from happening, come what may. Despite being tossed into a world of intrigue, gossip, and snobbery for which she is unprepared, she remains defiant.

Meanwhile, Fitzwilliam Darcy is equally dissatisfied with this match. An obscure young lady from a weak bloodline is hardly worthy of his name. But he is willing to sacrifice for King and Country, so long as he sets the terms of their relationship.
When two powerful magicians clash, sparks are bound to fly. Will the lady and gentleman be able to put aside their differences when their lives – and the future of the Kingdom – are at stake? Will they stand together against those who are trying to bring them down? And might they even come to care for each other?
