About the Author
Rev. Sarita M. Wilson is a native of Hampton, VA, and currently resides Memphis, TN. She is an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcpal Church. Rev. Sarita is an anointed and gifted spiritual leader who lives according to Romans 12:1 by presenting her body as a living sacrifice to God through the ministry of dance. Rev. Sarita is the Minister of Dance for Saint Andrew AME in Memphis, TN, where she is the founder and director of Ministry In Motion. She is sought after nationwide to share her unique spiritual gift of dance ministry. Bi-Annually Ministry in Motion hosts “Dance the Word,” a liturgical dance conference which offers workshops in healing through dance, embodied prayer, warfare dance, prophetic dance, praise and worship, choreography, step, pageantry, flags and banners and much more. Currently Rev. Sarita serves as the Minister of Dance for the 13th Episcopal District of the African American Episcopal Church and as Chairperson of the TN Chapter of the National Liturgical Dance Network. Rev. Sarita is a Board Certified Chaplain and received an Eccleastical Endorsement from the AME Church. She is employed with Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis. She received her BA In TV Broadcast Production from Howard University and her Masters of Divinity from Payne Theological Seminary. She is presently working on her Ed.D. in Pastoral Community Counseling at Argosy University. Rev. Sarita is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Her pride and joy are her two daughters Cyanna Marie and Ayanna Quinn.
