About the Author
Mary Gaitskell is the author of the novel Veronica, a finalist for the National Book Award and one of the New York Times’ top 5 novels of the year. Her stories have appeared in The New Yorker, Harpers Magazine, Esquire and other publications, and her story “Secretary” was the basis for the film of the same name. She lives in New York. Daphne Carr is a music journalist, critic and scholar who lives in Brooklyn, New York.
