Jim Sarris has been a Spanish teacher for 12 years. He is currently teaching at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, NY. He has a B.A. in Education, with a concentration in Mathematics, and an M.A. in Bilingual Education. Jim got the urge to study Spanish at the age of 22 while on his way to work on a fishing boat in Alaska. In order to pass the time, he made up rhymes to remember verbs. They have stayed with him until today. He uses mnemonics to this day in the classroom and his students find them extremely helpful and enjoyable.
