She graduated from Scripps College, the women’s college of the Claremont Colleges in Claremont, CA, in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology. In 2019, she earned her Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University.

Andrew Fahmy has worked in the nonprofit field for the past decade. He is currently the Executive Director of the United for Financial Security initiative at Orange County United Way. He graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology.
