Book Description
This book examines computer-aided design (CAD) principles and applications in landscape architecture. It covers historical foundations, conceptual frameworks, and technical workflows for digital representation. It discusses two-dimensional drafting techniques including precision linework, layering systems, and standardized symbols for site communication, and also:
- Provides comprehensive coverage of computer-aided design (CAD) principles and applications in landscape architecture including historical foundations, conceptual frameworks, and technical workflows for digital representation
- Examines two-dimensional drafting techniques for landscape architecture addressing precision in linework, layering systems, standardized symbols, and interdisciplinary collaboration for site communication and contractor coordination
- Discusses three-dimensional modeling in ARCHICAD for landscape design including foundations of 3D drawing, dimensioning, visualization strategies, detailing, and organizational tools for complex projects
- Addresses advanced 2D drawing techniques for gardens with emphasis on editing workflows, technical accuracy, and integration of design creativity with constructability requirements
- Covers visualization, data integration, and expressive tools in ARCHICAD for landscape architecture enabling iterative design experimentation, spatial representation, and coordination across architecture, engineering, urban planning, and environmental management
