Editorial Reviews
From Library Journal
Kilham is a former vice president of marketing for Bread & Circus, the well-known whole foods supermarket chain based in Massachusetts, as well as author of several books on natural foods and health. His newest book is a fact-filled compendium of information on what has happened to our food–with “eco-reports” on such subjects as pesticides, food additives, and irradiation; chapters on the good and bad news about various categories of food; and, for those who still have an appetite after absorbing the information in the first half of the book, 100 recipes, with a certain health food aura but interesting enough nevertheless. A few of Kilham’s statements may be open to debate, but this is a timely, valuable, and important work. Highly recommended.
