It’s very easy to find the information you need without having to read the section again. The cases are just the right length for Step 1 review. They give you all the information you need to know about the case but not too much that it is overwhelming. I wish I had this book when I was learning microbiology. It is concise with the right amount of detail and encourages the differential diagnosis thought process, which is critical to later success on the wards. I loved how after each case presentation, which in itself, is like a mini quiz, there were still a few multiple choice/self test questions at the end. It is a good way to reinforce new material.
