About the Author
Steve Blow has been honored as the top columnist in the state of Texas by the Headliners Foundation of Texas and the Associated Press. A native of Tyler, Texas, he joined The Dallas Morning News in 1978. He became a Metropolitan page columnist in 1989, having earlier served as a general assignments reporter and as East Texas bureau chief. He is a 1974 graduate of the University of North Texas. His wife, Lori, is a teacher in Mesquite.
