About the Author

Kevin Revolinski’s love for the outdoors came from frequent childhood fishing trips and hikes in the woods of northern Wisconsin. He is the author of The Yogurt Man Cometh: Tales of an American Teacher in Turkey, The Wisconsin Beer Guide: A Travel Companion, 60 Hikes Within 60 Miles: Madison, and coauthor of Best Tent Camping: Wisconsin. He has written for Rough Guide guidebooks, and his articles and photography have appeared in a variety of publications including Chicago Tribune, Caribbean Travel and Life, Miami Herald, and the New York Times. He has lived abroad in several places including Turkey, Italy, Guatemala, and Panama, but currently makes camp back in the homeland in Madison, WI.

Johnny Molloy’s first camping trip in Great Smoky Mountains National Park was disastrous, but in spite of that he developed a life-long passion for the outdoors, which he continues today. He has published numerous books including hiking guides to Virginia, West Virginia, and Tennessee as well as tent camping guides to Florida, Colorado, West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, and the Smokies. He is a resident of Johnson City, TN.
